Platform Disclaimer

Vonk helps people and opportunities find each other. This document explains the platform’s role, the checks users must still make, and the limits of what Vonk can promise.

Effective: 15 September 2026Last updated: 15 September 2026
Vonk is owned and operated as a division of Forwardly (Pty) Ltd (“Forwardly”, “Vonk”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This disclaimer applies to the Vonk website, applications, communications, and related services.
Vonk provides technology that helps work seekers, employers, agencies, and people offering gigs discover and communicate with one another. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, Vonk and Forwardly are not the employer, recruiter, labour broker, contracting party, representative, or agent of any user.
A listing, profile, search result, recommendation, match, message, verification badge, or introduction does not create an employment relationship, partnership, mandate, or guarantee. Users decide independently whether to engage, interview, hire, work, contract, or transact.
We do not guarantee that a work seeker will receive an interview, offer, gig, payment, or employment; that an organisation will find a suitable candidate; or that any opportunity will remain available. Rankings and recommendations indicate possible relevance, not suitability or success.
Users must independently assess qualifications, licences, references, identity, suitability, working conditions, pay, location, and legal compliance before making or accepting a commitment.
Listings, profiles, messages, stated terms, rates, reviews, documents, and other user content are supplied by users. We may moderate, verify, or screen some information, but cannot promise that all content is accurate, complete, current, lawful, or genuine.
A verification badge means that Vonk performed the checks described by the platform at the time. It is not an endorsement, warranty, credit check, criminal-clearance certificate, or guarantee of future conduct.
No work seeker should pay to obtain a job. Treat requests for registration fees, administration fees, deposits, PINs, one-time passwords, or upfront transfers as warning signs. Review the Safety Centre, keep relevant evidence, and report suspicious activity.
Safety warnings and automated screening help identify risk but cannot detect every scam, unsafe condition, unlawful term, or dishonest user. Use reasonable care, meet safely, confirm the identity and location of the other party, and do not share sensitive documents earlier than necessary.
Employers, agencies, clients, contractors, and work seekers remain responsible for complying with applicable South African employment, labour-broking, tax, immigration, health and safety, equality, consumer, and data-protection laws.
Vonk does not set wages, hours, benefits, deductions, employment status, or contractual terms. Information on Vonk is general information and does not constitute legal, labour, tax, financial, immigration, or professional advice. Obtain qualified advice for your circumstances.
Subscription payments are processed by PayFast and are subject to the payment provider’s terms and availability. Links to WhatsApp, training providers, government bodies, or other third-party websites and services are provided for convenience. Those parties operate independently, and their own terms and privacy practices apply.
Vonk is not responsible for a third party’s content, availability, acts, omissions, security, products, or services. A link or reference does not necessarily mean that we endorse that third party.
We aim to keep Vonk accurate, secure, and available, but the service may be interrupted, delayed, changed, suspended, or contain errors. Features and content may change as the platform develops. Do not rely on Vonk as your only record of an important message, agreement, deadline, or document.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Forwardly is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use Vonk, user conduct, listings, employment decisions, gigs, third-party services, or unauthorised activity beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Any limitation is subject to South African law and must be read fairly in context.
Use Vonk’s reporting and support tools if you see a suspicious listing, unsafe conduct, inaccurate information, discrimination, or misuse. For an emergency or suspected crime, contact the appropriate emergency service or the South African Police Service rather than relying on the platform.
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy, Safety Centre guidance, and any other terms presented for a specific Vonk service.
